2006 Ford GT

This 2006 Ford GT is one of 2,011 built for the model year and was initially delivered to Joe Madden Ford in Downers Grove, Illinois. Finished in Mark IV Red over Ebony leather, the car was factory-optioned with painted white stripes, red-finished brake calipers, BBS forged aluminum wheels, and a McIntosh stereo system. Power is supplied by a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 linked with a six-speed manual gearbox and a helical limited-slip differential. A Borla cat-back exhaust system has been added, and further equipment includes HID headlights, Sparco-designed bucket seats, and air conditioning.

The GT took inspiration from the GT40 racing cars of the 1960s and features an extruded-aluminum space frame, roll-bonded floors, and aluminum body panels. This example is finished in Mark IV Red with optional over-the-top white stripes and Ford GT graphics.
